Day 1: Arrive Mumbai

On arrival at Mumbai international airport, proceed for Immigration and Customs Clearances.  After clearing Customs, please collect your baggage and proceed towards arrival lounge and look for SKY VACATIONS representative, who will be holding the placard with your name on it. You will be met, assisted and thereafter transferred to your hotel by AC car.  Arrive and check-in at the hotel.

Day 2: Mumbai

Morning after breakfast, at around 8’O clock you will be met by our Tour Guide in the hotel lobby and proceed for an excursion to the Elephanta Caves [Closed on Mondays] magnificent 8th century cave sculptures, dedicated to Lord Shiva. The cave complex is a collection of shrines, courtyards, inner cells, grand halls and porticos arranged in the splendid symmetry of Indian rock-cut architecture, and filled with exquisite stone sculptures of Hindu Gods and Goddesses. It is situated on Gharapuri Island in Mumbai’s harbor, about an hour boat ride from the Gateway of India. At the entrance to the caves is the famous Trimurti, the celebrated trinity of Elephanta, there’s Lord Brahma the Creator, Lord Vishnu, the preserver and Lord Shiva the destroyer. Many of the sculptures, inside have been damaged by iconoclastic Portuguese rulers who took potshots at Hindu Gods with their rifles.

Afternoon, proceed for a half day tour of vibrant city of Mumbai.  Visit, the famous Gateway to India, an Indo-Saracenic architectural marvel, built to commemorate the visit of King George V and Queen Mary to Mumbai in Dec 1911, the unusual Hanging Gardens built in 1881, the Dhobi Ghat, a once in a lifetime sight of the miraculous open-air laundry, where clothes from all over Mumbai are hand washed, ironed and packed off within a day by hundreds of dhobi-wallas, Victoria Terminus, recently declared a World Heritage Monument and busy train station built 1887 in an amalgamation of extraordinary architectural styles. See Mumbai’s seaside promenade, Marine Drive and the Prince of Wales Museum [closed on Mondays], a distinctive British Raj-era building housing exquisite paintings and sculpture. Afternoon, visit Elephant Caves [closed on Mondays] declared a World Heritage Monument. B

Day 3: Depart Mumbai

Morning after breakfast, proceed for an interesting Bollywood Tour, visiting Film studios & view movie sets of places [where shooting had taken place if sets are still there], Dubbing / recording studio, Dress men / dresses, acting classes and Film stars’ houses [only from outside] in Bandstand /Juhu. Later, SKY VACATIONS representative will assist you with transfer to the international Airport, to board your flight for onward destination. B

Our prices do not include the following:

• Any Domestic / International airfares, as mentioned in the program.
• Lunches & dinners.
• Bhutan festival surcharge (currently at USD 15 per person per day basis).
• Tips and gratuity to drivers, assistants, representatives Tour Guides and porters.
• Any other category of rooms than mentioned above.
• Any item that is not mentioned in the clause “Include”.
• Any early check in / late checkout, subject to room occupancy of the day at particular hotel (normal check in / out time: 12 noon).
• Any personal expenses like telephone calls, laundry, shopping, table drinks, fee for the cameras / video cameras at the monuments etc.
• Any additional expenses caused by or liability for disturbance in the trip due to circumstances beyond our control such as airline & railway delays, roadblocks, vehicle malfunctions (mechanical breakdown) and other conditions like sickness, natural disasters, wars, etc.
• Liability for or insurance against injury, loss of life, accidents, damage or loss of goods.
• Any alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverages.
• Travel Insurance.

• (1) The letter B at the end of each paragraph in the detailed program stands for “breakfast”.
• (2) Reporting time at all International Airports is 3 and ½ hours prior to schedule departure.
• (3) Reporting time at Indian Airports is 1 and ½ hours prior to schedule departure for each scheduled flight (within India), as per program. Must carry the Government issued Photo ID.
• (4) Check in baggage on flights within India is weight concept. Free check in baggage allowance is 20 Kilograms per person.
