Day 2: Porto’s Historic Charms & Douro Wine (B)

Start your day with a walking tour of Porto, exploring its enchanting streets and the magnificent Porto Cathedral. Then, delve into the world of port wine with an exclusive tasting at Calém Wine Cellars, one of Porto’s most prestigious wineries. Next, embark on a 50-minute “Six Bridges” cruise, gliding along the Douro River and taking in breathtaking views of the city.

Optional Activity: Excursion to Guimarães

Discover the birthplace of Portugal on an enriching excursion to Guimarães. Stroll through its beautifully preserved medieval center, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and visit the iconic Guimarães Castle. The city’s charming plazas, cobblestone streets, and historic architecture tell the story of Portugal’s early days.

Day 3: Aveiro: The Venice of Portugal (B)

Travel to Aveiro, a picturesque coastal town known for its canals and colorful moliceiro boats. Enjoy a charming Moliceiro boat tour, indulging in a tasting of traditional ovos moles (Portuguese egg sweets) and sparkling wine. Later, visit the fascinating Aveiro salt pans, where you will learn about the region’s centuries-old salt-harvesting tradition. 

Day 4: Coimbra’s Academic Legacy & Fado (B, D)

Stroll through Coimbra, Portugal’s legendary university city, with a guided tour of its historic university, the Jewish quarter, the Santa Cruz Monastery, and the Old Cathedral. Immerse yourself in the city’s musical heritage with an authentic Coimbra Fado dinner experience, a soulful and poetic performance unique to the region.

Day 5: Medieval Tomar & Spiritual Fátima (B, D)

Step back in time with a visit to Tomar, home to the Convent of Christ, a UNESCO-listed masterpiece linked to the legendary Knights Templar. Day 7: Royal Treasures & Portuguese Delicacies (B)

Discover Lisbon’s historic Belém district with a guided tour of the Jerónimos Monastery, a symbol of Portugal’s Age of Exploration. Step into the regal world of the Ajuda National Palace & Royal Treasure Museum, then delight in a tasting of the famous Pastéis de Belém, Lisbon’s iconic custard tarts. Day 8: Fairytale Sintra & Wine Tasting (B, D)

Embark on a full-day tour of Sintra, where you’ll visit the exquisite National Palace and wander through this magical UNESCO listed town. In the afternoon, relish a wine tasting at Colares Winery, one of Portugal’s most historic wine producers. End the evening with an intimate Fado dinner, immersing yourself in Portugal’s most cherished musical tradition.

Day 9: Lisbon at Leisure (B)

Enjoy a free day to explore Lisbon at your own pace, whether it’s shopping in Chiado, discovering hidden viewpoints, or unwinding at a riverside café.

Optional Activity: Tour of Lisbon’s Historic Neighborhoods

Wander through the soul of Lisbon on a guided tour of its most iconic neighborhoods—Alfama, Bairro Alto, and Baixa. Explore winding alleyways, vibrant squares, and stunning viewpoints over the Tagus River. Along the way, uncover the city’s Moorish influences, tiled façades, and the rhythms of everyday life.

Optional Activity: Tour of the Medieval Town Óbidos

Step into a fairytale as you explore Óbidos, one of Portugal’s most picturesque medieval towns. Encircled by ancient stone walls, its narrow lanes are lined with whitewashed houses, colorful bougainvillea, and artisan shops. Don’t miss sampling the famous cherry liqueur ginjinha served in chocolate cups.

Day 10: Departure (B)

After a leisurely breakfast, a private transfer will take you to Lisbon Airport for your onward journey with unforgettable memories of Portugal’s rich culture, stunning landscapes, and fine cuisine.
