Day 1: Tarangire / Karatu / Bashay Rift LodgeDay 1 : Kilianjaro Amirport / Arusha / Arumeru Lodge

Welcome to Tanzania. Upon arrival at the Kilimanjaro airport, you’ll be met by your Sky Vacations ambassador who will assist you with your transfer to the lodge. Dinner and overnight at Arumeru Lodge.

Day 2 : Tarangire National Park / Ormatai Rock

After your breakfast meal, we depart to Tarangire National Park.

The drive is approximatively 2;30 hours on a good paved road before reaching the entrance of the park.

Game drive in the morning: superb landscapes with the baobabs emblem of the park, huge concentration of elephants, it is possible to observe more than one thousand in a single day.

Picnic lunch in Tarangire National Park and the safari continues in the afternoon

Arrival at the Ormatai Rock the end of the afternoon.

Day 3 : Tarangire National Park / Ormatai Rock

Lunch at Tarangire Safari lodge 

Back to the camp in the end afternoon

Day 4 : Tarangire / Karatu / Bashay Rift Lodge

In the early morning you will enjoy a last game drive in Tarangire National Park

Then you will leave through Saingawe gate (West) to head to Karatu

Stop en route near a Maasai village, the site overlooks Lake Manyara and offers a magnificent panorama

You will enjoy a bush lunch prepared in a traditional way by Maasai villagers

Then you will ascent the Rift Valley to Karatu

The rest of the afternoon will be at leisure : The lodge has a very nice swimming pool. You will also be able to discover the Agricole region of Bashay

Day 5 : Ngorongoro crater / Olduvai Ndogo

The day will be dedicated to the discovery of the Ngorongoro Crater, classified in the UNESCO world heritage. From the lodge, it takes about 15 minutes to join the NCA (Ngorongoro Conservation Area) and another 45 minutes to reach the road which comes down in the crater

This runway, extremely abrupt, offers a luxurious landscape towards the heart of crater

From the bottom of the crater, we discover the first animals (buffaloes, zebras, gnus, gazelles) 

The safari really begins in these 300 km² which form the base of this gigantic crater

Lions, rhinos, elephants, buffalo and leopard: The chances to meet the “big five” are high

Bush lunch on a privatised site

Continuation of the safari during the afternoon, on this magnificent site which offers at the same time a part of forests, plains and swamp … And where we cross different fauna, in varied landscapes

Ascent of the crater in the end of the afternoon

Arrival at the camp, briefing and allocation of the tents. Then small walk (about 1 hour) to the summit of the “Kopjes” to face the sunset on the Serengeti plains

Return to the camp at night

Day 6 : NCA / Olduvai Ndogo

This morning head north to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, which brings us quickly to the heart of the great migration, wildebeest, zebra, tens of thousands … and some predators attracted by this abundance

Lunch at Ndutu lodge

In the afternoon, the safari continues along the lakes Ndutu and Masek (hippos, flemish)

Possibility to organise a small trek in the Olduvai Gorge (fossils)

Back to the camp in the end of afternoon

Day 7 : Serengeti NP/ Grumeti Hills

Drive northwards through the great plains of the Serengeti National Park

Lunch at Ronjo Camp in the heart of the park will be provided

In the afternoon, the game drive will take you along the rivers at the Serengeti central area 

There is a large concentration of big cats (lions, leopards, cheetahs) in this part of the park

Then head to Grumeti Area.

Day 8 : Grumeti / Grumeti Hills

Early departure for a walking safari with a guide and a ranger, who will make you discover the present fauna

After 2 – 3 hours of slow walk, you will have a breakfast in bush

You will come back at your lodge (safari) for a rest time

Enjoy the swimming pool and the nice spa

Lunch at the lodge

Leisure time or safari in the afternoon

Possibility to plan a cultural excursion to Mugumu, Ikoma fort (which was important during the war 14-18) or game drive around the lodge

Early dinner at lodge

You will attend to a night safari between 8:00 pm and 10:00 pm. During a night safari, we may observe some of the nocturnal species as galagos, genette, civets, spring hares, bat ear foxes, … And others such as hyenas, leopards, lions or elephants.

Day 9: Grumeti / Ikoma- Arusha / JRO

After breakfast, last game drive on the way to Ikoma airstrip

Assistance for boarding on regular flight to Arusha

Meet and Greet at Arusha airstrip

Lunch at Arumeru Lodge, then transfer to JRO airport for assistance and Boarding on international flight back
