All information contained on this website, printed materials and e-communications are owned and remain the sole property of Sky Vacations.
Included Features, Reservations and Confirmation
All programs include those features outlined in the itinerary (i.e accommodation, sightseeing, transfers). Reservations are considered “pending” until a deposit or final payment has been applied to the booking. Only upon deposit or final payment will the program and pricing be confirmed.
Payments, Changes, Cancellation
Deposit amounts vary due to the program and inclusions, but shall never be less than $350.00 per person. Final payment is due 60 days prior to departure date. All changes and cancellations must be received in writing to Sky Vacations (email acceptable). A change fee of $100.00 per booking applies along with any rate change incurred as a result of the change request.
Cancellation fees* are per person based calculated from first date of service; 61 days or more: $250.00 per person, 60 – 45 days: $500.00 per person, 44 – 30 days: 50% of the total program price per person, 29 – 15 days: 75% of the total program price per person, 14 days or less: 100% of the total program price per person. All cancellation fees are subject to additional fees levied by cruise lines, airlines or other providers of travel.
Some programs require a minimum 20% non refundable deposit. For these programs, cancellations are subject to the following penalties of the full trip price:
- 20% non-refundable deposit due at the time of confirmation
- 60-46 days prior to arrival: 50% penalty
- 45-31 days prior to arrival: 75% penalty
- 30 days or less prior to arrival: 100% penalty
There is no refund for unused services including those due to airline schedule changes, missed flights or flight connections or any other reason. Any changes made once a program commences are subject to a minimum fee of $100.00 per person plus any fees, charges or rate increases caused as a result of such alterations.
*In some cases cancellation fees may differ from those listed above and may be non refundable or incur additional costs. In such cases your Sky Vacations representative will provide you with details.
In order to protect travelers from the loss of funds, delays, baggage loss and medical costs, it is strongly recommended that each traveler purchase travel protection. Click here to purchase.
It is the traveler’s responsibility to check with each country/region they shall be visiting to make sure they have met all precautions regarding health regulations. Most tours require participants to be in good physical health to undertake all activities outlined in the program. It is the responsibility of the traveler to determine his/her health condition before undertaking any of these tours.
Passports and Visas
United States citizens are required to travel with a passport that is valid six months beyond the last date of their trip. Each traveler is responsible to secure the required documentation for the countries they visit and should contact the consulates for the countries to secure the appropriate travel documentation.
For those programs that either have air included or where air travel has been added as an option, please note: most airfares are nonrefundable once air travel has commenced. All airline tickets adhere to the policies of the issuing carrier. Travelers are advised to make themselves familiar with these policies. Sky Vacations is not responsible for any issue arising from airline reservations. It is the passenger’s responsibility to make sure their name appears on the ticket exactly as it does on their passport. Sky Vacations is not responsible for any ticket issued with a misspelling that was not brought to Sky Vacations attention the day of ticketing.
Baggage allowance varies depending on a number of factors including the cost of the ticket and class of service. Each traveler must check with the carrier for baggage allowance rules and regulations. Any fee resulting in a baggage matter, including excess baggage shall be borne in its entirety by the passenger
All hotel accommodations will be provided in hotels mentioned or of similar category. Sky Vacations and our supplier partners reserve the right to substitute hotels of similar category if necessary. In rare cases, hotels may be substituted at the last minute, while the tour is in progress. Hotel rooms are assigned either in a specific category which shall be confirmed in writing or are otherwise “run-of-the-house” basis. Special requests such as bedding type, room location, etc. are all subject to availability and are assigned by the discretion of the hotel
Sightseeing, Transfers, Porterage and Tips
Unless otherwise noted, transfers and sightseeing will be conducted in private vehicles. All transfers include one piece of standard size luggage per person. All sightseeing outlined in the program is subject to last minute changes/alterations which may occur to unforeseen circumstances. For programs taking place during national holidays, programs will be amended. In such cases an alternative location or tour will be substituted. Gratuities to guides and drivers are not included and are at the discretion of the traveler.
All costs are presented in U.S. dollars and based on tariffs, rates of exchange, costs and schedules in effect January 1, 2022. Fluctuation of currencies may result in a higher cost. In such cases the traveler will be advised prior to final payment and no increase shall be incurred once final payment has been received. Sky Vacations presents a “package” program price is and not obligated to provided a breakdown costs and services.
Unless otherwise noted, prices do not include meals, airfare, visa fees, foreign airport departure taxes, local and city hotel taxes, items of a personal nature or any other item(s) not listed as included.
US Department Of State Travel Advisory
From time to time, the US Travel Department (www.travel.state.gov) issues Travel Advisory Notices giving advice regarding travel to a particular destination and it is advised travelers consult this website regarding program destinations. In rare cases where the US Travel Department advises US citizens not to travel to a specific country or region, Sky Vacations reserves the right to cancel the program. In other cases, we can provide you with a “best opinion” but the decision to travel remains with the travelers and Sky Vacations bears no responsibility based on said decision.
Sky Vacations acts only in the capacity of agent in all matters regarding travel, including by railroad, motor coach, car, boat or airplane, including all matters of reservations, transportation and assumes no liability for injury, damage, loss, accident, delay or irregularity which may be caused either by reason of defect in any vehicle, or through the act or default of any company or person engaged in conveying the passenger, or in carrying out the arrangements of the tour(s), or otherwise. Sky Vacations accepts no responsibility for losses or additional expenses due to delay or changes in air or other services, sickness, weather, strike, war, quarantine or other causes or acts of God. Sky Vacations retains the right to make changes with or without notice that might become necessary in the best interest of the tour or services. In such cases any additional expenses will be borne by the passenger. The airlines concerned are not held responsible for any act, omissions or event during the time passengers are not on board their planes or conveyance. The passage contract in use by the airlines concerned, when issued, shall constitute the sole contract between the airlines and purchaser of these tours and/or passenger. Any and/or all transportation companies herein mentioned shall have or incur no responsibility or liability to any travel aside from their liability as common carriers. All fares are subject to change at any time without notice, and land costs are based on present value of foreign currencies in relation to the U.S. dollar, and in current tariffs, and are subject to adjustment (either way) until time of final payment by passenger. Sky Vacations bears no responsibility for faulty, inferior or non-delivery of any items purchased by tour passengers during their trip.
Payment to Sky Vacations constitutes your acceptance of the Terms and Conditions referred to as “The Fine Print”. Terms & Conditions, “The Fine Print” are accurate at time of printing and are subject to change prior to booking. You are advised to check on our website or request the latest version of the “The Fine Print” from Sky Vacations or your travel professional prior to reserving your trip.
COVID-19 DISCLAIMER AND RELEASE NOTICE
Before making or finalizing arrangements for your trip through Sky Vacations, you agree to the following terms and conditions:
Health Risks and Other Hazards: You agree that it is your personal decision to travel, and that you do so under full knowledge of current travel recommendations and travel restrictions in regards to the risks of COVID-19. Sky Vacations assumes no responsibility for and shall not be liable for any unsafe conditions or health hazards including pandemics or other illnesses. Sky Vacations has no special knowledge of dangers during travel or at destinations. For information related to such dangers, it is recommend you visit the State Department travel website at www.travel.state.gov, click on “Find International travel Information” then click on “Country Information”, and fill in the name of the destination country. For medical and health information, it is recommended you visit the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) website at www.cdc.gov/travel, then click on “Destinations” and scroll to the name of the destination country.
Vaccination Requirements and Other Rules: Sky Vacations has no responsibility for COVID-19-related requirements that travel suppliers and governments may impose from time to time, such as required vaccinations, health affidavit forms, COVID-19 screenings prior to departure or upon arrival, face coverings, or quarantines. For the latest COVID-19 government travel regulations, it is recommended you visit IATA’s website at https://www.iatatravelcentre.com/international-travel-document-news/1580226297.htm. For the latest travel supplier requirements, check the website of each supplier, and keep checking because these rules are constantly changing, and Sky Vacations is not responsible for those changes.
Rebooking: If requested, Sky Vacations will assist with obtaining any refunds due or rebooking trips for future credits based on airline/supplier rules. Sky Vacations will charge a non-refundable fee for our services in addition to any applicable airline/supplier fees.
Insurance: For your protection, it is strongly recommended that you purchase trip cancellation and travel accident insurance. Please note that, unless you buy a cancel-for-any-reason policy, most policies have a specific clause stating they do not cover epidemics and pandemics, especially when travel warnings are in place. No representation or description of the insurance made by Sky Vacations constitutes a binding assurance or promise about the insurance. You agree to hold Sky Vacations harmless for your election not to purchase travel insurance or for any denial of claim by travel insurer as it relates to COVID-19 or any other claim under the policy.
Financial Condition of Travel Suppliers: Sky Vacations is not responsible for the acts or omissions of travel suppliers or their failure to adhere to their own schedules, provide services or refunds, financial default, or failure to honor future trip credits. Sky Vacations has no special knowledge regarding the financial condition of travel suppliers, and Sky Vacations has no liability for recommending a trip credit in lieu of a refund.
RELEASE: YOU HEREBY EXPRESSLY ASSUME ALL OF THE RISKS AND DANGERS LISTED ABOVE, AND HEREBY EXPRESSLY AGREE TO FOREVER RELEASE, DISCHARGE AND HOLD SKY VACATIONS, AND ITS’ AGENTS, EMPLOYEES, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, ASSOCIATES, AFFILIATED COMPANIES, GUIDES, GROUP LEADERS, AND SUBCONTRACTORS HARMLESS AGAINST ANY AND ALL LIABILITY, ACTIONS, CAUSES OF ACTIONS, SUITS, CLAIMS, AND DEMANDS OF ANY AND EVERY KIND AND NATURE WHATSOEVER WHICH YOU NOW HAVE OR WHICH MAY HEREAFTER ARISE OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH THESE RISKS AND DANGERS.
Claims Deadline and Exclusive Jurisdiction: All claims must be presented to Sky Vacations within 30 days after conclusion of your trip. You must file any suit within one year of the incident, and you acknowledge that this expressly limits the applicable statute of limitations to one year. You agree that the courts in Oakland County, Michigan (State Court) or in Wayne County, Michigan (Federal Court) will be the exclusive jurisdiction for all claims brought by you, and you hereby submit to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
