A week in slovenia

Upon arrival you will be welcomed by your Sky Vacations ambassador who will transfer you to your hotel in Bled. Rest of the day at leisure. 

Day 2, Lake Bled and Lake Bohinj                                                                 

Start your day with the visit of Bled castle and enjoy lovely views to the Island and the lake. Continue with a relaxing walk along the lake shore to explore this fairy tale land. 

Day 3, Kranjska Gora, Bovec and Kobarid                                                                                                         

Travel to alpine resort of Kranjska Gora with stop at Jasna Lake, to admire the two interconnected green lake surrounded with high alpine peaks. Take the scenic road via Vršič mountain pass, where you can make a short stop, and travel into Trenta valley and Furter to Bovec. Overnight in Bovec or Kobarid.

Day 4, Lipica and Piran                                                                                                            

Today we head to the Karst region and further to Slovenian coast. The first stop will be Lipica stud farm, the cradle of beautiful Lipizzaner horses. Guided tour of the stud farm included. Continue to Slovenian coast. Piran is a picturesque facing the Adriatic Sea. It is well known for its medieval architecture, with narrow streets and compact houses. 

In the summer months you enjoy some late afternoon swimming and sunbathing on the beach. 

Day 5, Postojna cave and Dolenjske Toplice Spa or Čatež Spa                                                              

Right after breakfast visit Sečovlje salt pans and learn about salt production and traditional production techniques. Travel back inland and visit the famous Postojna cave. Discover the magic underground world, learn about the stalagmites and stalactites, the cave animals, and the famous “Human fish”. The tour is partly done with small electric train and partly on foot. Continue to Dolenjske Toplice Spa or Čatež Spa for overnight.

Day 6, Day at leisure to relax at the spa

Children will enjoy indoor & outdoor pools with water slides. Parents can have some relaxing treatments at the SPA centre. Overnight at Dolenjske Toplice Spa or Čatež Spa.

Day 7, to Ljubljana                                          

After breakfast, proceed to green capital city, Ljubljana. Stroll the old town centre which is easy and pleasant to walk even with small children. Tivoli Park with vast playground is walking distance from the old town centre, too. Do not miss the Museum of illusions or the Experiment house. There is an also option for day care in the city centre so that parents with small children can have a bit of hassle-free & romantic time. Overnight in Ljubljana. 

Day 8, departure 

Breakfast at your hotel followed by transfer to Ljubljana airport for your onward journey.
