Day 1: Arrival, Bogota

Arrive in Bogota, Colombia’s pulsating capital. Your Sky Vacations ambassador will meet and assist you to your hotel. The remainder of the day is at leisure to explore Bogota. 

Day 2: Bogota City Tour

After breakfast at the hotel this morning, continue for a full day tour in the Candelaria neighborhood, the heart and soul of Bogota with a visit to the Gold Museum and entrance to the galley of the famous Colombian artist Botero. Continue to Monserrate Monastery at top of the mountains and enjoy a cultural experience at Paloqueamo local market with exotic fruit tasting.

Day 3: Bogota – Coffee Region

This morning after breakfast at your hotel, you will be tranferred to El Dorado International airport for your flight to Pereira (not included). Upon arrival experience the coffee making process with a visit to Café San Alberto which offers fantastic views over the Coffee Region. You will take part in a coffee cupping session where you can taste and smell the aromas of the different types of coffee produced. From the planting to the picking to the toasting and the tasting your life as a coffee drinker will never be the same, once you have tasted the elixir of life from Colombia.

Day 4: Coffee Region

A full day tour of Filandia & Salento,  traditional coffee towns awaits you. This tour takes in the culture of the region along with the stunning natural beauty of the Cocora Valley. This tour will take you from the far northeast of Quindío to the beautiful Valle Cocora where the magnificent Wax palm grows, in one of its few natural habitats, then onto the first settlement in Quindío of the modern era. As you enter into Filandia, the first stop, you know you are in the Coffee region of Colombia. A coffee break in one of the many small coffee shops will allow you to take in the quaintness of uninterrupted lines of brightly painted houses in this traditional Pueblo of the region. From Filandia you will drive to the Valle Cocora (Cocora Valley). The valley has a unique landscape like a lush version of a Swiss valley. The valley is spectacular and great for walking or horseback rides, either way, this stunning mountain scenery will not fail to impress. 

Day 5: Coffee Region – Cartegena

This morning, transfer from your hotel to Matecaña International airport for your flight to Cartagena. Upon arrival, you will be met by your Sky Vacations ambassador and transferred to your hotel. The remainder of the day is at your leisure. 

Day 6: Cartegena

Your morning and afternoon is at leisure to explore this vibrant town. This evening, enjoy a half day tour of Cartegena by night. Enjoy a icy beverage at Café del Mar. Experience the nocturnal magic of the old town of Cartagena followed by dinner at restaurant Club de Pesca. Continue to explore the neighborhood of Getsemaní known for its culture and bohemian style. 

Day 7: Cartegena

The day is at leisure to explore Cartegena. You can also take part in an optional tour to Bazurto local market and cooking class at Bazurto Restaurant or an optional Colombian rum and chocolate tasting tour. 

Day 8: Cartegena 

Breakfast at your hotel before your transfer to the airport for your onward journey.
