Day 1: Welcome to Serbia

Upon arrival at the airport, you will be greeted at the airport by your Sky Vacations ambassador who will take you on a panoramic tour of the city on your way to the hotel. The tour will cover locations such as New Belgrade, Belgrade Arena, Genex tower, Federal building, Dedinje, and Kneza Milosa street. Check in to your hotel – rest of the day is at leisure to relax and unwind. 

Day 2: Belgrade City Tour

Your day begins with a walking tour of the city which includes the Knez Mihailova pedestrian street, Kalemegdan fortress, Dorcol art street tour, Skadarlija, and Cetinjska Street. You will then have some free time for lunch before visiting Tito’s Museum and Avala Tower. Return to the hotel for an overnight stay in Belgrade.

Day 3: Central and West Serbia Tour

Check out of the hotel after your breakfast and head towards Central and West Serbia. The first stop will be at Winery Aleksandrovic, where you will get to taste some of the best wines in Serbia. After the wine tasting, you will head to Oplenac, a historic site that was once the residence of the Serbian royal family. Here, you will visit St. George Church, which is famous for its stunning mosaics and the “Kings’ tombs” where the Karadjordjevic dynasty is buried. You will also get a chance to visit the Royal family Mausoleum, which is a must-visit place as it represents a touch of royalty and nobility. After lunch, you will continue to Zlatibor, which is known for its scenic beauty and fresh air. You will have dinner and stay overnight at Zlatibor, which is also known as the “Golden Pine Mountain”.

Day 4: Sargan and Drvengrad Tour

This morning, you will embark on a unique experience that will take you through the charming and picturesque landscapes of Sargan. You will board the Sargan Eight, a narrow gauge railway that winds through tunnels and over bridges, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding countryside. Afterward, you will visit Drvengrad, a quaint and charming town made entirely of timber, that was built by renowned Serbian film director Emir Kusturica. Here, you will have a chance to explore the town’s narrow streets and artisan shops, as well as admire the stunning views of the surrounding mountains. Later, you will visit El Paso City, the first “Cowboy” village in Serbia, where you can relax and enjoy a beer in the saloon while taking in the western-style architecture and atmosphere. 

Day 5: Uvac Lake and Mileseva Monastery Tour

The day will start with an exciting journey to Uvac Lake, a spectacular location known for its natural beauty and stunning scenery. As you explore the area, you will be amazed by the breathtaking views and peaceful atmosphere. Uvac Lake is home to one of the largest populations of vultures in Europe, making it a unique destination for wildlife enthusiasts. You will visit a “Prayer” viewpoint, which is a popular spot for photography and offers stunning panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. After this, you will continue your journey to the Mileseva Monastery, a historic and cultural site that dates back to the 13th century. The monastery is renowned for its stunning frescoes and is considered to be one of the most important Serbian Orthodox monasteries. After exploring this impressive site, you will return to your hotel, filled with memories of Serbia’s natural beauty and cultural heritage.

Day 6: Stopica Cave and Sirogojno Open Air Museum Tour

After breakfast this morning, you will check out and embark on a journey to explore some of Serbia’s hidden gems. Your first stop of the day will be at the magnificent Stopica Cave, located in the Zlatibor region. This natural wonder is famous for its impressive stalactites, stalagmites, and underground lakes, which have been formed over millions of years. 

Next, you will visit the Sirogojno Open Air Museum, which is situated in the Zlatibor mountain village of the same name. This unique museum showcases the traditional lifestyle and architecture of the region’s rural communities, with over 50 authentic buildings, including houses, barns, and churches. You will have the chance to see how people used to live and work in this part of Serbia and gain a deeper understanding of the country’s rich cultural heritage.

Day 7: Zemun, Novi Sad, and Sremski Karlovci Tour

After breakfast, you will visit Zemun, one of the oldest parts of Belgrade, and its green market. You will then depart to Novi Sad, the “City of Culture” for 2022, for a visit and lunch. Afterward, you will visit Sremski Karlovci and the Zivanovic Winery for some wine tasting before stopping at Indjija Outlet for shopping on the way back to Belgrade. 

Day 8: Depart Belgrade

After breakfast at your hotel, its time to head to the airport for your onward journey.
